Discover the fascinating study of paranormal and anomalous experience through a substantial programme of advanced study spanning parapsychology, anomalistic psychology, consciousness, perception, cognition, extraordinary experiences, paranormal belief, culture and scientific research. From telepathy, psychokinesis and experimental parapsychology to apparitions, hauntings, near-death experiences, UFO encounters and the cultural construction of paranormal belief, the programme combines rigorous critical inquiry with the exploration of some of the most intriguing questions about human experience and consciousness.
Designed for graduates, serious enthusiasts and independent learners, the 180-credit Level 7 Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Parapsychology combines advanced taught study with a substantial independent research dissertation. Examine extraordinary claims from psychological, neuroscientific, cultural and parapsychological perspectives while developing the research skills needed to evaluate evidence critically and undertake your own specialised investigation.

Humans have long experienced unusual phenomena, including alleged clairvoyance, UFO abduction and astral projection. This branch of psychology investigates these experiences through academic enquiry and investigates whether there are psychological explanations for these experiences.
Asynchronous lectures, reading materials and extensive resources are shared on our Moodle platform to which you will be granted access. The course is delivered entirely online, under the guidance of our expert lecturers and academic staff. The academic year begins in September but you can also enter the programme in January.
Broadly similar to Master's level of study, there is one 30 credit module to introduce you to this fascinating area of psychological study, followed by six compulsory 15 credit modules which look at specific areas in much greater detail. The course is completed with a 60 credit dissertation or research project.
Each 15 credit module is £200, with a 30 credit module costing £400. This includes everything for the module, with no hidden cost. The entire programme therefore costs £4800, but you can study a module at a time and exit the programme when you wish. You will receive a certificate for each module, and a certificate of completion should you exit early which summarises the extent of your study.
As these programmes are new, we are offering a limited number of places with a scholarship discount of 80%. T&Cs apply. This is an excellent opportunity to learn something new, and be involved with the development of a new course, at a really low cost. Email us today to find out more (info@wessexacademia.co.uk).
