Our one week careers immersive experience allows students to experience first hand what it is like to work in their chosen career path. Whilst there will be some theory, to ensure students can navigate the complexities of the practical side of the experience, they will spend a lot of time on hands-on tasks, being guided by industry professionals.
Where appropriate there are opportunities to spend time in industry, including work placements or visits to key venues or businesses. Students on this experience will gain a huge range of skills in their chosen fields which they can use straight away. Taking part in this experience will give students an incredible addition to their CVs and their university applications.
We offer a five night residential option where desired at an additional charge. Depending on which presentation of the course it is, this may be at Canford School in Poole. At other times, we use equally amazing accommodation normally used for students of Bournemouth University.
The residential package includes three meals a day, single occupancy options, use of leisure facilities, as well as a fun packed activities programmes in the evening, such as contemporary dance classes at Bournemouth Pavillion or tours of the haunted and eerie deserted Tyneham Village. We thoroughly recommend the residential programme which allows students to make lifelong friends and contacts. Networking is key in all industries, and it is important to learn those skills as early as possible!
