We know that not all potential students are able to attend a bricks and mortar school or college. It is also the case that some qualifications are not routinely included in the standard offering at colleges, such as geology or Latin. This is why we have designed a range of programmes to allow everyone the opportunity to obtain a recognised qualification, or to take part in an unregulated course just for fun!
Potential candidates with Wessex Academia can study towards GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level in a variety of subjects. These are detailed below.
We are also developing bespoke online programmes outside of the main OFQUAL system, and at just £100 to enrol and complete - what is stopping you?!
With differing levels of support available, depending on which package you choose, we are able to cater for students of any age. So even if you think you are too old to study now, think again! We also suit international students, however you would need to visit the UK for your exams. This can be done on a visitor visa, but restrictions apply in line with UK Immigration Rules.
Please note examinations are currently only in London, and require physical attendance, but let us know if you would like us to consider a local examination centre within the UK, as this may be possible.

Students will work on an independent piece of research, producing either a 5000 word dissertation or a performance or artefact, along with a presentation at the end of the course. Students have regular meetings with their supervisor and sessions with an EPQ skills tutor.
The fee for this course is the 'A-Level 40 hour' equivalent.

This A-Level equivalent is subject to availability, due to the large internal assessment (NEA). A centre must be located that will accept an independent candidate. We attempt to find such a centre only once you apply for this course, but no fee is due until we confirm the centre.

We are aiming for this to be availably from 2027. Currently, food preparation courses in the UK do not allow abstention from animal product cookery for those who are vegan or cannot work with the animal products on religious grounds.
We aim to change this with our bespoke vegan food preparation course, which will mirror food technology courses but without meat or animal products.

We also offer international A-Level, which means you do not have to do a practical, but can do our unassessed practicals for the experience if you wish.
